I believe that creating magical moments - like morning coffee in my cozy chair, winter sunlight streaming through the frosty window, surrounded by a sea of plants, and making art - is one of the cornerstones of a beautiful life. I strive to infuse as much beauty, romance, and Gothic melancholy as possible into every moment. I seek to create these same imagination-fueling experiences for you through my art.
I create poetry to express and process my emotions, to archive the world and moment in which we are living, and, in the words of my favorite poet, June Jordan: "if there's anything I want to do with my work, it's to encourage people, if not kick them -- you know, pull, drag, what have you, yank them -- into action. I mean, life is action! Inaction is death! And at this time, if you can't see that at this specific instant of American history, if you cannot see that, I think you are already gone. Not a victim. Gone."
